Charlotte Ballet

This summer I was able to shoot the Charlotte Ballet on a number of occasions because they were the ballet in residence at Chautauqua. This was my first time shooting ballet and I found that as with most performances I was drawn to shoot what was going on backstage as much as what was happening onstage. I think I made a decent start to shooting something new to me but I definitely look forward to working some more on it in the future.

Chautauqua Weeks 1-2

I haven’t posted to my blog in forever but now that I’m interning in Chautauqua for the summer and shooting a whole lot more I figured I’d put some stuff up. There has definitely been some cobwebs to dust off on my shooting ability but it’s coming along and I’m looking forward to improving and sharing more of my work from this summer. Also I got to meet Alan-freaking-Alda!

Fall Semester

I havn’t been shooting too many stills this semester since the only PJ class I am in is a video class and this semester I am the assistant photo editor at the Herald which is a non-shooting position. But I thought I’d toss a few photos up to show what I’ve been toying around with. I’ve been trying to add on camera flash to my tool belt, I finally shot a silhouette that I think is halfway decent and I got to shoot a cool music festival here in BG.
